YoPA Aalborg (DK) will be conducted in three neighborhoods in Noerresundby (Lindholm, Loevvangen, and Noerre Uttrup) with a high concentration of low-cost housing areas. The municipality and the Danish ministry are keeping an eye on these areas to prevent the development of parallel societies based on employment, income, education, convicts, and immigrants. Teenagers will be recruited mainly through two leisure centers in Lindholm and Noerre Uttrup, the Youth Center in Loevvangen, a focused collaboration in a specific residential area in Loevvangen, and existing networks with local organizations. In addition, the study will closely interact with the CoC Playful Minds project. The urban transformation of part of Loevvangen, close to the Youth Center and the largest public housing area in Noerresundby, is currently underway.
