YoPA monthly Scientific Partners Meeting topics (March)

March 25th, 2024

In the YoPA Scientific Partners Meeting on March 7th, consortium partners delved into discussions surrounding Systems Mapping, Causal Loops Diagrams, and the utilization of accelerometers for tracking youth movement behaviors.

Led by YoPA’s Principal Investigator, Prof. Dr. Mai Chin A Paw, the first part of the meeting challenged participants to engage in a brief systems mapping exercise, exploring the interconnections within a specific context.

Following this, Prof. Dr. Jasper Schipperijn presented on the application of accelerometers and GPS for monitoring adolescent movement behaviours in urban environments, sparking a dialogue on how consortium partners could integrate such data collection methods into their respective contexts.

The meeting concluded with members of the Dissemination Committee addressing YoPA’s forthcoming policy briefs, outlining content priorities, and delineating partner responsibilities for the briefs writing.
