Discover practical resources, research insights, and co-creation methods for supporting active and healthy lifestyles among young people.
YoPA (Youth-centred Participatory Action) is an international research project working to improve active and healthy lifestyles among teenagers living in vulnerable urban environments. Across four countries – Denmark, the Netherlands, Nigeria, and South Africa – researchers collaborate with teenagers and local stakeholders to identify local systems requirements, design tailored interventions, and test what works to support more active lifestyles.
This toolbox shares the knowledge, methods, and experiences from the project. It brings together protocols, videos, papers, and practical insights from the systems-informed co-creation process and the implementation of local interventions.
The toolbox is designed for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and anyone working with communities – including schools, community organizations, and local authorities. By sharing these resources, we aim to support systems-informed co-creation approaches and create better opportunities for active, healthy lives for all.
